A not so wordless post...
As much as I love beauty and everything related to it. I also love music! Back in the 90's I became a huge fan of Nirvana and still am to this day. I will never forget the day I first heard "Smells like teen spirit" on the radio, I was instantly hooked, along with everyone else.
The passion, is energy and of course the pure talent was right there! It stood out like a sore thumb. He captured the mood of a generation of young people, his music was purely a reflection of his difficulty dealing with life and the times, something a lot of us all could relate to.

Kurt had a charismatic soul despite all the negative ways he was portrayed in the media. His songs were and still are about as far removed from modern money grabbing pop music as you can get. He became famous without wanting to, in fact he hated it. His story is a tragic one and a stark warning to anyone thinking that fame and excess is cool.
Kurt had accomplished so much in the short time he was with us. Today we celebrate the birth of this amazingly talented and gifted man on what would have been his 46th birthday. It's hard to believe that he's been gone 19 years already! I only wish he was still here to celebrate it with us.
Happy Birthday Kurt!
